The film was written, produced, and directed by John Hughes and starring Emilio Estevez (the athlete), Anthony Michael Hall (the brain), Judd Nelson (the criminal), Molly Ringwald (the princess) and Ally Sheedy (the basket case).
The Breakfast Club is known as the “quintessential 1980s film” and is considered as one of the best films of 1985.
