Extreme World: human trafficking
Coming face to face with the horror of human trafficking reduced TV hardman Ross Kemp to tears.
His encounters with slave masters and victims moved the Extreme World frontman very deeply.
So he didn’t think twice about backing a new Northern Ireland group aiming to help victims of the evil trade in human flesh.
While filming in India, Kemp was left horrified after meeting a serial child killer involved in the sex trafficking of girls.
He told the Mirror: “Interviewing a guy who admits to killing 400 to 500 kids but doesn’t know exactly how many – that did make me cry.”
Ross added: “Unfortunately we have to rely on agencies and NGOs like Flourish to pick up the pieces. I’ve had to look into the eyes of human traffickers.
“One guy in Romania referred to the girls he abused and used as footballs.”
