Massive tests funded by the us government showed saturated fats and cholesterol do not cause heart disease.
Nina Teicholz, PhD uncovers the truth. Decreasing cholesterol actually raised mortality in men
- The Minnesota Coronary Experiment (9,000 participants, 4.5 years): For every 30 mg/dL reduction in cholesterol, the risk of all-cause mortality increased by 22%.
The lower their cholesterol, the higher the chance of dying of a heart attack for men. Buried for 16 years! [Analysis of recovered data] - Sydney Diet Heart Study (458 men, 5 years): Replacing saturated fats with vegetable oils increased heart disease death rate by 62% and all-cause death rate by 70%. Raw data, unpublished, revealed the dangers of seed oils.
- Low LDL and Stroke Risk (Kailuan Study, 96,043 subjects, 9 years of follow-up): LDL < 70 mg/dL was associated with a 65%-169% increase in risk of hemorrhagic stroke. In particular: <50 mg/dL = 2.69-fold increased risk; 50-69 mg/dL = 1.65-fold increased risk. This correlation was further confirmed by a meta-analysis of 476,173 people in all ethnicities.
- High LDL & Longevity (Systematic Review, 19 studies, > 6 million participants) High LDL-C was associated with equal or greater longevity in most cohorts. Inverse association with mortality in old age; no association with shortened lifespan. This counters statin myths.
Saturated fats and cholesterol are necessary for health:
- They help absorb vitamins A, D, E and K
- Promote digestion and bile acids
- boosting immunity against infections, bacteria and viruses
- lower the risk of cancer, depression and suicide
- Brain essential (30% cholesterol, 60% fat)
- Help prevent osteoporosis, strokes and dementia
- Lower all-cause mortality and protect against toxins
Avoid toxic seed oils such as soy, corn, and canola. They cause oxidation and inflammation. Switch to heart-healthy fats: butter, ghee, tallow, lard, goose fat, virgin coconut oil.
